Lotus Psychology Practice

The therapy practice is called Lotus Psychology Practice because we find ourselves inspired by the lotus flower. It grows beautifully out of the mud. Many get stuck in the mud and fail to see their inner strengths and beauty.

At Lotus Psychology Practice we help you get out the mud and help you find your strength.

Dr. Elana Rimler

Practice Owner

As your therapist, I will help you share your story to better understand how it may be presenting problems for you in the present, because as Maya Angelou wrote, “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”( I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings)

You may have patterns of handling relationships or experiences and want to get unstuck from your usual patterns. Sessions will feel collaborative, respectful and non-judgmental and will be focused on your treatment goals. You will find sessions to be practical, highlighting your/your child’s strengths. You will gain tools that you can apply to life’s many challenges.

Gabrielle Kirby

Psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapist

Welcome to the right place if you’re facing challenges with your children! Are behavior issues manifesting in school, at home, or both? Drawing on over twenty years of experience working with children and their families, I specialize in conducting functional behavioral analyses to identify the root causes of behavioral concerns. This enables me to create personalized and targeted behavioral intervention plans, addressing issues both at home and in the school setting.

Additionally, my expertise extends to cognitive testing, providing valuable insights into the cognitive functioning of individuals. This is particularly beneficial for those seeking a deeper understanding of their cognitive processes or for parents looking to assess cognitive abilities in children.

If you are in need of an Autism Testing, I employ comprehensive assessments to evaluate and diagnose autism spectrum disorders. This involves the use of the ADOS-2, the gold standard in diagnosing autism, as well as the ADI-R, an extensive interview detailing one’s developmental history.

Moreover, I am trained in Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral therapies, making these approaches integral to self-improvement and self-discovery.

Whether you’re navigating behavioral challenges, cognitive assessments, or exploring therapeutic avenues, I am committed to providing comprehensive support tailored to your unique needs and circumstances.
